Shark Tooth Finder shows ads (Google AdMob rewarded video) and offers auto-renewable subscriptions. We run no servers and do not collect names, email addresses or account data. Everything the app records stays on your device.
Your collection (photos, videos, size, place and time of each find, the weather and tide of that moment, the species you tagged), hunt log and spot names/notes, favorite beaches, statistics, the subscription status cache and the remaining ad-reward time.
The home-screen widget and the lock-screen countdown read a small summary of this data through the app's own storage group on the device. Nothing is uploaded.
With your permission the app uses precise location to find nearby tide stations, to save where you found each tooth and to record the conditions of a hunt. This data stays on the device.
Approximate coordinates are sent to Apple's WeatherKit to fetch the forecast. They are not sent to us.
Camera frames are analysed on the device by the built-in model; they are not uploaded. Photos and videos you save are stored in the app and, if you choose, in your photo library. Imported photos are analysed on the device as well. The microphone is used only for video sound.
Where consent is required (EEA/UK) the app shows Google's consent form before loading ads; you can change your choice in Settings.
Before the first ad the app asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you allow it, Google may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to personalise ads; if you decline, ads are non-personalised. All features work either way. You can change this in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
AdMob may process IP address, device information and in-app ad interactions for ad delivery, fraud prevention and measurement, under Google's policies.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple's StoreKit. We never receive payment details. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Because everything is stored on your device, deleting the app deletes the data. There is no server-side copy to request or erase.
The app is rated 4+ and collects no personal information. We recommend adult supervision for children under 13.
